Quality-of-Experience-Aware Incentive Mechanism for Workers in Mobile Device Cloud

Mobile device cloud (MDC) is a collaborative computing platform over which neighboring smart devices form an alliance of shared resources to mitigate resource-scarcity individual user for running compute-intensive applications. A major challenge such maximizing quality-of-experience (QoE) at minimum cost while providing attractive incentives workers' mobile devices. In state-of-the-art works, either voluntary task execution or merely resource-cost driven mechanism has been applied minimize the time overlooking payment any additional incentive worker their quality services. this paper, we develop computational framework MDC where afore-mentioned challenging problem formulated as multi-objective linear programming (MOLP) optimization function that exploits reverse-auction bidding policy. Due NP-hardness MOLP, offer two greedy selection algorithms QoE minimizing cost. both algorithms, amount awarded determined following offered user. Theoretical proofs desirable properties proposed mechanisms are presented. Simulation results illustrate effectiveness our compared approaches.
